doctor's note

I took Jake to the pediatrician yesterday for his fifteen month visit, and he weighed in at 22.5 pounds and is 31 1/3 inches long. That puts him at about the twentieth percentile for weight and the sixtieth for height.

The doctor said that his vocabulary is extremely advanced (read: over-developed little freak, it is kind of creepy to see such a little guy walking around and telling you about things like apples and horses and clocks) and he is right on target for everything else. Jake has about 25 or 30 words, and puts two or three words together every now and again. Usually it is "don't touch" or "stop, baby" or something equally as negative when he is doing something he knows he isn't supposed to. We get a "mine cat" or "mine ball" once in awhile so there is hope. Jake has two molars and the two front teeth on the bottom and two molars and four front teeth on top. There may be more in there but he isn't letting anyone in to find out. Sometimes I jam my fingers in there when he is brushing his teeth, I'll try tonight and let you know.

But if I am walking around with nine fingers tomorrow, I'm blaming it on you.

I wish we had a 15 month check-up here!! I bet Spencer is 32lbs (I'm kidding of course. I think).

I'm jealous of Jake's vocabulary. I guess JT could have 25 words...he signs cookie for everything.
