missing

If anyone sees a little grey cat running around, grab her. She's ours.

I'm guessing Jake let Bailey out this morning in the split second that he opened the back door and she somehow got out of the yard. I'm hoping that's what happened. She was acting really lazy and limp yesterday and I'm secretly afraid she slinked off somewhere in the far reaches of my house to find a hidey hole for dying. I guess we'll find out in a few days, it is supposed to be hot here.

The boy is going to freak. Bailey is his best friend. I would say I'm just not going to mention it but I know he will notice she isn't at the door to greet him when he gets home in a few minutes.

I feel ten times guilty because I'm always a bit overwhelmed at how affectionate she is and how she is always right in your face and she eats all of our bread and produce that isn't tightly wrapped and I get mad because before she came along there was only half as much cathair all over my stuff. I can't imagine I was extremely nice to her if I paid her any mind at all this morning. The cats tend to get neglected between the hours of 6am and 6pm. I know I held her for a little while yesterday and kissed her repeatedly directly on the teeth.

What? It's something special we do. Don't judge. She wasn't feeling well.

I whistled down the alley for her and heard all sorts of phantom meows that turned out to be nothing. I yelled her name out the front door and some old ladies poked their nasty little heads outside, but no cat.

I'm sad.
