Dear Jacob,

Thank you for puking all over me this morning.  It was totally worth hanging out and going to the "beach" with you this afternoon and having a little picnic in our "bathing suits".

I promise that some day when you are 33 and I'm older than dirt, I'll puke all over you on the nicest day of fall and make you stay home with me and we can "play'n'play'n'eatapplesallday".

You're going to need it.

I love you bunches,
Mom

By this logic, I will need to throw up in my son's eye when he's 24. After which he will cry and (briefly) reconsider fatherhood altogether.

Forgive me for saying it, but there's something so wonderfully sweet and cuddly about a sick(ish) kid!

Looks like the vomit did him good - a day at the "beach" and a nap. Life is good!

His hair sure did grow back fast!

He's so freaking cute that I sort of WANT him to barf on me.

Cute blah blah funny ha ha but I'm so glad to see you have that same problem I do with your bra strap sticking up like that above your shoulder when you sit. Phew!

What a little heartbreaker!!! It's great to go the beach on a beautiful fall day!

I, too, look forward to the day I get to "pay back" all the love!

Sweet post, wonderful pictures!

he is so adorable!! (i never say that about other people's kids unless i really mean it)

i like the pic of him sleeping.

and also, granny smiths are by far the best apple. well done.

I totally have those sunglasses.

That last pic is the reason I had a kid (the adorable angelic cuteness I mean, not for the sickness). The puking is a reason I'll never have another.

I have been a terrible bloggy friend and I havent been commenting lately.. but I have been reading... throw up is NOT cool.. but taking the day to relax and eat apples is awesome!

I don't know, in those photos I see a wisdom in his eyes that would make me hesitate. Even old souls vomit up their weary pasts now and then. Cleansing is good. That is no ordinary kid you have there!

That is so great...not that Jake was sick of course but that you got 1 full day off to "play hookie" and spend QT with your little man.

Love apples!
Hate throw up!

What a beautiful sleeping child you have. You are so very lucky, even if the payment is puke from time to time. I wish mine were little again. They were so sweet then....still are..just better not puke on me.

I haven't seen a picture in forever. He's handsome! And big.

We catalog this kind of stuff too. I've lost track of all the stuff I need to pull when I'm old LOL. I hope Jake feels better today. (So can I blame you for our cooties? Did they come by e-mail?)

I guess being a mom somehow makes you immune to pukes and poops....I think I'd wind up ralphing myself if someone puked on me. Though, Jack is home sick today...maybe I should have had him hurl on me. Rainy days are great days to stay home in your pjs...

Kid puke is the worst...maybe not...old man puke is the worst. I've had to deal with both. At least you got to go outside for part of the day...I got to nearly cry as I walked back into my office building after lunch...boo! Such a nice day. He looks so pitiful in the first picture!

Dang! For a sick kid, Jake is too adorable for words and for a grumpy puked-on mom, you sure look hot!

I've got so much fodder to bribe these kids, I'm almost embarassed about it.

Nope. Totally not.

haha...so cute. great way to spend the day (minus the puke).

See, you really are the best mom; you even turned Puke into Gold!

Having kids gives us all the good excuses in the book.

These pictures are so cute. I wouldn't mind staying home to play'n'play'n'eatapplesallday. Though I could probably do without the vomit.

My head is kinda foggy today, what with being extremely overworked and generally stressed out, but I simply can't remember ever seeing your little guy before. He's a little cutie!

Lovely pics. Who hasn't held puke in their hands right?

That last pic is so freaking adorable.

Sleeping kids are the cutest!
