Really? Maybe it's a family name.

Justin (as in just-in-time, he was born Dec. 30. I worked for a CPA and he gave me a bonus for such a timely deduction.) That's true, but I really liked the name Justin and it was 22 years ago and there weren't that many of them then.

Dane. Was very uncommon 18 years ago, but it's getting more popular among the surfers. I told my parents from Texas that if he every played football, they could call him Great Dane. He doesn't play football. His brother used to call him Dane the Pain. Now we all call him Dane the Brain.

I don't stress too much about gifts and cards. I give what I want to give, send what I want to send.

I love that there were no other Zacharys on the list. Funny story though. I was out shopping the other day, and on 2 separate occasions an Aaron and a Zachary got in trouble, but they weren't mine! My kids were at home. It was awesome.

Lead in pencils is actually graphite. They don't use lead in them. Not sure if they ever did, but no worries.

I think Ticonderoga pencils are made right here in Philadelphia somewhere. Google them.

BTW, Finn is actually a very popular name these days, along with Chase (not named after the bank monopoly) and Flynn. a new trend is to use last names for first names. Well, really old one.

Those names are nothing compared to some.

I love classic names. I have no idea what I will name my child but I do know what her middle name will be, if the baby is indeed a girl. She will take my late mother's middle name as her own. Basically my mother hated her middle name, I loved it and I always thought if I named a sweet grandkid with a name she hated she'd eventually learn to LOVE the name as much as her grand kid. :)

We did send out cards, but not as many as usual. It has gotten expensive, espcially for those with little chilren, however, not many of our contemporaries have small children, unless circumstnaces have been such that they have become guardians for their grandchildren.

I guess I haven't received a Valentine's card except from my husband since I was in public school. However, it might be nice to recieve some.

You know what else is cool? That my Christmas cards say Happy Holidays on them, much to the chagrin of my oh-so-traditional and religious friends and family. But it's cool because the stack of cards that are still sitting in my van will make it out somewhere around the holiday season. I'm sure "Early in the New Year" counts as holidays.

I'm with you, I love use-up-able gifts. I love gift certificates for pedicures and restaurants - especially when the card also mentions the willingness to babysit while I use these things.

Things I don't like? Well I won't mention them here, just in case someone I know somehow follows me over...

I was in the 'hood on tuesday at my sister's house. It was raining and miserable and I had to spend it with three sisters, two I like and the other not so much. Why do people always feel guilty about saying they don't like a sibling? Maybe they are afraid some of their obnoxious genes are in them too. LOL!

anyway, I didn't do christmas cards this year, and it ate me alive until on christmas day we did so great family portraits and I sent out new year's cards.
